A Dream Come To Life

Quilt Til You Wilt is a quilting dream come to life in a wooded country setting in Hudson Florida. In 1991, Pat Wilkinson started teaching basic quilting classes at Pasco Hernando Communtity College. After 5 years of teaching at the the college Pat's iea was born to have hew own shop closer to home. With her husband's support and her family's building expierence this quilters dream was errected in the back of their multi-acre home. Pat now has a large room for her Gammill Quilter machine and enough room for a small classroom area. All of this is just a few steps out of her back door.

Many quilts were created and then quilted on the Gammill between the quilting classes and pattern designing, but soon she realized she needed to expand. In, 1997 the shop was doubled in size to make room for over 4,000 bolts of fabric, hundreds of books and patterns. It took another 4 years before the need to a larger classroom became very obvious. In 2001 a large deign studio and classroom were added to the back of the shop. Now the dream gets even better! pat's husabnd Walt had started a small embroidery section in 1998 with a commercial embroidery machine. Walt passed away in 2001 and the embroidery machine was kept going in his memory. The embroidery idea was born andlovingly nurtyred along. Today you will find custom quilt labels and quilt blocks being turned out along with a full time of embroidered shirts and tote bage.
